Announcing the Release of D-I-O-N's "Intelligent Design" Featuring Chandler on Lead Vocals:
D-I-O-N "Intelligent Design" is a brand new album featuring American vocalist Chandler Mogel (Outloud, Talon), British guitarist Dion Smith (formerly of Mercury Rain) and New York session drummer Charlie Zeleny (Blotted Science, Cracked Latin, Behold the Arctopus). D-I-O-N was formed by Dion Smith with a view of creating something completely different. Intelligent Design comprises heavy driving guitar riffs, Chandler's signature melodic and powerful vocals, with a focus on synth melodies and intricate drum patterns. Dutch Guitar Virtuoso Noud Smeets Releases "Project Masquerade" Featuring Chandler on Two Tracks:
Chandler is proud to be featured on two songs on the new Project Masquerade album, "Nothing but Everything Will Remain". The brainchild of Dutch guitar virtuoso Noud Smeets, "Nothing...." combines Noud's blisteringly technical and heavy guitar work with epic progressive metal. The album features a handful of other guest singers and musicians, namely Dennis Leeflang on drums and Barend Courbois on bass. Upcoming Releases Featuring Chandler:
Chandler has been busy recording vocals for various projects in the last 6-8 months. He has recorded tracks for upcoming albums by guitar virtuosos Noud Smeets (Netherlands), Chris Bickley (US) and Dion Smith (UK - featuring Chandler's vocals on the entire album). All 3 of these projects include an all-star lineup of players. All three of these albums are slated to come out between October - December of this year. OUTLOUD opening for Twisted Sister on July 12th in Athens, Greece:
OUTLOUD - the Greece based hard-rocking outfit featuring Bob Katsionis (FIREWIND), Mark Cross (ex-HELLOWEEN, Firewind) and singer Chandler Mogel (ex-TALON) - are confirmed to open for TWISTED SISTER in Athens, Greece on July 12th at the Horseriding Olympic complex. The release of their second album has not been announced yet, but is to be expected in autumn 2011.
Following their successful 2009 debut We'll Rock You To Hell And Back Again! from Frontiers Records, Outloud recently returned with 'Waiting For Your Love', a brand new track for 2011, from their upcoming sophomore album, Love Catastrophe.
The song can be heard via the band's personal page, exclusively on the Greek music community site, Jumping Fish (www.jumpingfish.gr/outloud). The song is mixed by Danish engineer Tommy Hansen know from his work with Helloween, TNT, PRETTY MAIDS, etc., and produced by Bob Katsionis.

Chandler Contributes Vocals to the "Rock for Japan" Album - out on April 29th:
On March 11, 2011 one of the biggest natural disasters hit the country of our close friends in Japan. The earthquake, the tsunami and the nuclear devastation and the resulting inapprehensible pictures on TV left us in sadness and depression and caused a feeling that something needed to be done to help. The original idea by the label AOR Heaven simply was to release a Melodic Rock/Hard Rock charity album for Japan and to donate all profit of the sales income of this CD to the Red Cross in Japan. An e-mail was sent to some bands in order to find out if any of them would be interested in participating in this project. From this point on, the idea started to move and caused massive feedback. Within the first 24 hours after this message had been sent, more than 20 highly profiled bands and artists from all over the world already had offered to take part by contributing previously unreleased material each.
Chandler was among those asked and is honored to have this opportunity to help out this great country. He has contributed a track from a previously unreleased project called "Big Nature" that he recorded back in 2009 with Steven DeAcutis (guitar; Corey Glover, Cyndi Lauper, Arcara, The Way) and Billy Orrico (drums; Biloxi). The song "One Way Ride" from those sessions is included on the CD.

A few years ago Chandler had the opportunity to record a couple of tracks for the well-known Memphis-based songwriter Rob Perry (whose songs have been featured on MTV2, E Network and the Cartoon Network, to name a few). Rob decided to release these cuts along with a bunch of other great tunes featuring collaborations with other talented singers and songwriters. Chandler and the boys from OUTLOUD have just finished mixing the band's 2nd album with esteemed engineer Tommy Hansen (Helloween, Pretty Maids, Jorn, TNT) who has once again done a marvelous job (Tommy mixed OUTLOUD's successful debut album as well). Chandler will be flying to Athens in November to line up all the details of the release with the band (which is currently being targeted for early next year), as well as to shoot the first video clip for the album.
